Mathey Dearman is proud to offer quality accessories such as our oxy/acetylene torches with a 1 3/8" (35mm) barrel diameter with and without rack. All torches sold in the USA come with a check valve. Torches and tips are available for most fuel gases.
Machine torch selection is dependent on the machine type and the pipe diameter to be cut.
The charts below will help you to select the best torch to use for your Mathey machine and your cutting application. If you are using your Mathey machine with any of its optional accessories, the Mathey Dearman sales department can help you make sure you select the right torch.
Torch Tip Selection
A rule for calculating material thickness in order to select the right torch tip is:
• 15 degree bevel angle is 1 times the pipe wall thickness.
• 30 degree bevel angle is 1.2 times the pipe wall thickness.
• 37 1/2 degree bevel angle is 1.3 times the pipe wall thickness.
• 45 degree bevel angle is 1.4 times the pipe wall thickness.
